Την επομένη της εκλογής Μπαράκ Ομπάμα, στάλθηκαν από τις δύο
αυτοαποκαλούμενες ''λομπίστικες'' ομάδες στις ΗΠΑ τ' ακόλουθα emails,
σε μία προσπάθεια, των αυτοαποκαλούμενων ''ηγετών'' της Ομογένειας να
πουλήσουν εκδούλευση ειδικά στην Ελλάδα. Τα δημοσιεύουμε αυτούσια και
θα τα σχολιάσουμε αύριο:

WASHINGTON, D.C., November 5, 2008 -- "The new President and Vice
President of the United States know so much about Greece, Cyprus and
the Ecumenical Patriarchate that their names
might as well be Barack
Obamakis and Joe Bidenopoulos," said Andy Manatos, President of
the
Coordinated Effort of Hellenes (CEH). CEH Vice Chairman and PSEKA
President Philip Christopher said, "We awarded Senator Barack Obama a
year and a half ago for his assistance to Hellenes. He was the
recipient of the James Williams Award, named after the African-American
who left America to lose his life fighting with the Greeks for their
independence."
CEH Chairman and UHAC National Chairman Andrew A. Athens said, "We have
been working closely, behind-the-scenes, with Illinois State Treasurer
Alexi Giannoulias to develop significant support for Senator Obama over
a year ago and raise another half-of-a-million dollars for his campaign
just a few weeks ago." CEH board member and Cyprus Federation
Supreme President Panikos Papanicolaou said, "Our 2300 Club was a major
element in Senator Biden's presidential bid, and we have always been
very close to him." Manatos added, "CEH was also crucial to
securing half of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives as
advocates for Cyprus and in then-President Bill Clinton's major role in
Cyprus' early accession to the EU. We also helped cut America's
aid to Turkey from one billion dollars a year down to zero and secured
the vast majority of the U.S. Senate and the House Foreign Affairs
Committee to press for religious freedom for the Ecumenical
Patriarchate."
CEH leaders noted that "President-Elect Barack Obama's personal
relationship with Alexi Giannoulias is crucial to Obama's policy toward
Hellenic and Orthodox issues, as was the relationship between former
President Bill Clinton and David Leopoulos. Without that
relationship would Cyprus have acceded to the EU early? Would
Albania have released the Omonia Five from jail? Would FYROM have
taken the threats against Greece out of its constitution? Would
the Turks have withdrawn from Imia? And, would a sitting
President of the U.S. have ever visited the Ecumenical
Patriarchate? Giannoulias' mother Anna, now of Chicago, was born
in Sfakia, Crete and grew up in Chania."
As Chairman of the European Affairs Subcommittee of the Senate Foreign
Relations Committee, Senator Obama led the effort to press FYROM to
find a name agreeable to Greece, urged proper American treatment of
Cyprus and fought for religious freedom for the Ecumenical
Patriarchate.
"Senator Biden's advocacy for Hellenic and Orthodox issues is
legendary. After former Senator Paul Sarbanes and current
Senators Bob Menendez and Hellene Olympia Snowe, no one in the Senate
surpasses Joe Biden, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations
Committee, in terms of advocacy for our issues," said Manatos.
Manatos added, "Moving the huge American bureaucracy to treat Greece,
Cyprus and the Ecumenical Patriarchate fairly is never easy in light of
competing American interests. However, having
Obamakis and
Bidenopoulos in the White House opens the door to some good
possibilities."

WASHINGTON, D.C., November 5, 2008 -- "Presidents of the United States
- including President-elect Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton,
George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter and their predecessors -
look to the Greek Orthodox Archbishop of America as the embodiment of
the Greek-American Community. This is the case whether it is the
current President Bush seeking Archbishop Demetrios' presence an
average of once every five weeks during his first year-and-a-half in
office, or President Bill Clinton insisting that Archbishop Demetrios
sit next to him at a White House breakfast meeting," said leaders of
the Coordinated Effort of Hellenes.
"For nearly a quarter of a century, American presidents have asked the
Archbishop of America to lead the Greek-American community in annually
celebrating Greek Independence Day at the White House. In past
years when activities like U.S. involvement in a war have prohibited
American presidents from taking the time to meet with the community,
the Presidents have insisted on seeing the Archbishop alone."
"In addition, Presidents have sought out Archbishop Demetrios not only
to lead prayers at both the Democratic and Republican conventions and
their inaugurations, but also for information needed for their
decision-making process. Archbishop Demetrios has provided
substantive input at meetings with American presidents, Speakers of the
House, Majority Leaders of the Senate, Committee Chairmen, Cabinet
officials and other American leaders. These American leaders
gather valuable, unfiltered information from the Archbishop and also at
times from leaders from Greece and Cyprus through His Eminence."
"Administrations realize that extraordinary benefits for the
Greek-American community are usually created by the Archdiocese.
For example, it was the Archdiocese, represented by Father Alex
Karloutsos working with the Washington, D.C. expertise of Manatos &
Manatos, which created and currently maintains this annual meeting with
the President, even though Greek-Americans account for only .5% of the
American population. The only other such Presidential
meeting
with a nationality group involves Irish-Americans, the second largest
such group in the country."
"President-elect Barack Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden
already know Archbishop Demetrios and his preeminent role in the
Greek-American community, as well as his representation in America of
the spiritual leader of the second largest Christian Church in the
world, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. Just prior to delivering
his prayer at the Democratic convention, Archbishop Demetrios spoke
privately with Vice President-elect Biden about the Ecumenical
Patriarchate. Their warm discussion followed up their previous
discussions at the Archdiocese in New York. Like their

interest to our national community and to our countries of origin come

ΣΑΕ στο Σικάγο, να το γνωρίζει.
Από το γραφείο του ΣΑΕ μας
πληροφόρησαν ότι το email, ted@spyropoulos.org δεν έχει
σχέση με το -γραφείο- ΣΑΕ ΗΠΑ κι ελέγχεται
από μία εξωθεσμική κυρία στη Νέα Υόρκη, η οποία γράφει και στέλνει
μηνύματα συστηματικά, ''γιά λογαριασμό'' του συντονιστή Θεόδωρου
Σπυρόπουλου, χωρίς την υπογραφή του και
τ' όνομά του! Εγκυρες, εξακριβωμένες πληροφορίες μας, αναφέρουν ότι ο
συντονιστής ούτε καν γνωρίζει το περιεχόμενο των ''μηνυμάτων'' του. Το
ίδιο άτομο, από το ίδιο κομπιούτερ και την ίδια γραφή στέλνει
αντίστοιχα μηνύματα και γιά λογαριασμό του... Ελληνοαμερικάνικου
Εθνικού Συμβούλιου και της ΠανΜακεδονικής ΗΠΑ! Τακτικά θύματα των
''μηνυμάτων-μαϊμού'' και τ'
αναξιόπιστα, κρατικά ΜΜΕ, ''Αθηναϊκό Πρακτορείο'' και ΕΡΤ (οι φήμες γιά
''λάδωμα'' συντακτών τους, ώστε να δημοσιεύουν ακόμα και ''σκουπίδια'',
είναι έντονες και βάσιμες, σε ΗΠΑ και Αθήνα).
Nα τονίσουμε ότι ο συντονιστής, είναι εγκλωβισμένος από ένα κύκλο
ανεγκέφαλων ''συμβούλων'', που τον χειρίζονται ανάλογα με τα συμφέροντά
τους.

Μήνυμα του Συντονιστή Σ.Α.Ε. Περιφέρειας Η.Π.Α. για την εκλογή του
Barack Obama
Η άνετη εκλογή του Γερουσιαστή Barack Obama, η πρωτοφανής συμμετοχή των
Αμερικανών στις εκλογές αλλά και η εκφρασμένη προτίμηση των Ευρωπαίων
στο πρόσωπο του αντανακλά τη διάθεσή της ανθρωπότητας για αλλαγή στο
Αμερικανικό και διεθνές προσκήνιο. Επίσης, καταδεικνύει διεθνώς ότι
στις Η.Π.Α. απολαμβάνουμε το αγαθό της Δημοκρατίας καθώς οι εκλογές
διεξήχθησαν ομαλά, χωρίς νοθείες και προβλήματα, χωρίς φυλετικές
διακρίσεις, αναδεικνύοντας την θέληση του Αμερικανικού λαού για αλλαγή.
Συγχαίρουμε το νέο Πρόεδρο της Αμερικής και ευχόμεθα κάθε επιτυχία στις
προσπάθειές του καθώς αναλαμβάνει τα καθήκοντα του σε μία εποχή με
πολυποίκιλες και κρίσιμες προκλήσεις τόσο στις Η.Π.Α. όσο και σε
παγκόσμιο επίπεδο.
Η εκλογική νίκη του Barack Obama δημιουργεί προσδοκίες σε ολόκληρο τον
κόσμο για θετικότερες εξελίξεις στην οικονομία, προοπτικές για ειρήνη,
δικαιοσύνη και σεβασμό στον άνθρωπο.
Ο Barack Obama εξέφρασε ξεκάθαρες θέσεις στα εθνικά μας θέματα
δημιουργώντας προσδοκίες στον απανταχού ελληνισμό για την πορεία τους.
Η ομογένεια των Η.Π.Α., έχοντας μάθει τα μαθήματά της από το παρελθόν
θα πρέπει να ενεργήσει με ιδιαίτερη σύνεση. Θα πρέπει πλέον να
σταματήσει κάθε ιδιωτική και μεμονωμένη πρωτοβουλία επηρεασμού της νέας
Αμερικανικής διακυβέρνησης στα θέματα ελληνικού ενδιαφέροντος.
Ηρθε ο καιρός να αλλάξουμε σελίδα και οι δυνάμεις του Ελληνισμού των
Η.Π.Α. να εμφανίζονται συντονισμένες στις διεκδικήσεις τους και στην
επιρροή που ασκεί στα κέντρα εξουσίας. Η εκάστοτε ελληνική κυβέρνηση
πρέπει από την πλευρά της να μας ενημερώνει με σαφήνεια για τις
σταθερές της θέσεις ώστε να σταματήσουν τα αντιφατικά μηνύματα προς
τους εκπροσώπους της αμερικανικής διακυβέρνησης.
Εχουμε μεγάλη δύναμη ως Αμερικανοί πολίτες ελληνικής καταγωγής. Το
Σ.Α.Ε. Περιφέρειας Η.Π.Α. θα προβεί σύντομα σε πρωτοβουλία για
συνάντηση στην Πρεσβεία της Ελλάδας στην Washington όλων των ηγετών των
ομογενειακών οργανώσεων ώστε όλοι μαζί, ενωμένοι να γράψουμε νέες
σελίδες για τις ελληνοαμερικανικές σχέσεις, για τον Ελληνισμό της
Αμερικής και για τα θέματα ελληνικού ενδιαφέροντος.
Ας ελπίσουμε ότι η αισιοδοξία και οι προσδοκίες για ένα καλύτερο αύριο
που απορρέουν από την επικράτηση του Barack Obama θα επαληθευτούν''.
